CIVILIAN STATUS

NON-CONUS Assignment: Civilian assigned Overseas / not accompanying the Military

1. Travel Orders provided by the CPAS in the Continental United States (CONUS)
2. SF-50, Notice of Personnel Action - used to confirm a civilian's grade and affiliation.
3. Other service-specific documentation from the CONUS CPAC that:
   1. Indicates the length of the assignment
   2. Outlines the benefits that the civilian assigned overseas receives for the length of his or her assignment
   3. Indicates the country where the civilian is assigned
4. Required supporting documentation specific to the country where the civilian is assigned to work.

NOTE: Civilians assigned overseas need to report to the OCONUS personnel servicing agency so that they receive the required supporting documentation for their assigned work location.
